Regarding where you come from… You have two parents, four grandparents, eight great-grandparents, and so on, doubling with each generation. Going back 30 generations, you have over one billion ancestors. Or, at least you should have. The problem is that thirty generations cover about one thousand years, and there weren’t a billion people on earth a thousand years ago. What this means is that you are probably descended from everybody who lived a thousand years ago, provided that they do have any living descendants today. That includes everybody who still has living descendants, even royalty. If you’re family is from Europe, you’re descended from European royalty. If your family comes from Egypt, you’re descended from pharaohs. The same principal applies for other places in the world. Francis can be proud of his ancestry.
my dad said we were descendant’s of Prussian Field Marshals. I have been able to trace his mothers side back to a city in Prussia so I’m guessing he was right. Not sure if that’s a good thing but it was pre 1900 so at least they weren’t part of the the World Wars.
