    Good Night Lonewolf, Pleasant Dreams

    Breakfast hmmm….. I will have cream of wheat topped with tomato slices, diced garlic, italian seasoning, mozzeralla, feta and parmesian cheeses and purple olives. A code red mountain dew and half a lemon meringue pie. Oh! And a Nuclear CocoMocha Milkshake with extra chocolate.

    Oh, we’re high and dry. We are on a local regional divide between two rivers–so the flooding would have to be biblical to reach us. But there have been some minor threats in towns on creeks, and of course Fargo has some water.

    Of course, that area is glacial lake bottom (Lake Agassis), with about 1 inch per mile slope, and the foolish rivers drain north, so they start running from the upstream end. So they have to expect a few floods now and then.

    I think I am going to be bad and ignore the older generations for the most part. Let them deal with each other (unless of course my guilty conscience won’t let me). Maybe while Bmonk avoids floods I will play with fire.

    Looks like the weather will be more Spring-like here–highs in the 50s, plus or minus a few more degrees, a chance of rain several nights, sunny and moderate breezes. It even smells like Spring this morning!

    I think my puter is better today–and faster too.

    Last week, the backup worked–only then it started backing up again. It did that twice before I stopped it–and then all week it kept telling me that the backup was interrupted and needed to be finished. I hope today will take care of the problem.

    Hey–I’ll bet you could get lots of Pet Rocks cheap over the internet. They were popular back in the ’70s, IIRC.

    If you can’t find them on eBay or wherever, I suspect that wild rocks are pretty easy to tame, and don’t act much different from the domestic variety.

    Best thing: they don’t die. Ever.

    And they rarely reproduce and cause trouble when you have to get rid of a litter (which probably averages several dozen of the little pebbles…)

    I have a nice fist-sized black lava type rock, with googley eyes that would make a nice pet. I probably wouldn’t have to take it out with me too many places before people quit insisting I go out in public with them.

    No, I am sorry Sojo but I would feel silly carrying around a pet rock in a large jar (that way I can put a lid on it for car rides) and addressing it by the name ‘Rocky’ when I talked to it. People might look at me funny in restaurants.
