We should assume that Trump, Musk and Mnuchin are all in the conversations about how to extort Tiktok. Remember, this was Trump’s favorite game, especially during his first 2 years in the WH. He would target a company, basically say they were about to “go through some things”, then would reach a secret agreement behind closed doors. Obviously, these agreements were for Trump’s personal benefit. If they were genuinely in the country’s best interest, he would have been boasting far and wide about them.
This is just a return of that same act. Trump met with the largest shareholder of Tiktok. Then he met with the second-richest man on the planet. Then he made a public proclamation that TikTok shouldn’t be banned, but forcing them to sell at bargain-basement prices would be just dandy. Then we see that his pal Mnuchin turns up, organizing a buyout with suspicious partners.* And that is all within the space of 2 weeks.
Pretty obvious what is going on here. It is extortion. It has nothing to with concerns about China and big data. Those concerns are exactly the same whether we are talking about Tiktok, Facebook, Google, Twitter or any other system. And Experian, associates and the aforementioned already have all the data that Tiktok might collect. Trump and company would love control over the personal information of Americans that may now be going to China. It’s very useful for somebody who promises to be the retribution white nationalists are looking for.
Meanwhile Texas is following Kim’s lead in empowering the state to block websites they don’t like.
It won’t happen as long as brandon and his handlers are still screwing the American public. Too much money has been paid by the Chinese for America. That’s one thing about the communist liberal democrats……everything is for sale…our country, our way of life, and their souls.
