Please explain the Word-Play in “lactose”. The mermaid lacks ???

Lactose intolerance.

I was a mermaid in a previous life. I hope to be again one day. And no, we don’t wear coconuts or seashells.

A ‘trifle’ inaccurate but very inventive.

Once the class stops laughing, ask her to use “object” in a sentence…!

Also, Fauna …… “NEVER” ask a teacher a reasonable (at least I thought it was) question that they don’t want to answer …… :)
