oh boy- this is gonna get really nasty!

I suggest 1. not all old people are anti-LGBTG; 2. not all christians are anti-LGBTQ; 3. those “christians” who are anti-LGBTQ follow the OT and do not “hear” Jesus’s words.

Jesus said, “Love your neighbor as yourself”.

So many people forget what else Jesus said in their efforts to justify their behavior. He also said “Go, and sin no more”.

Thankfully, I am not a religidiot. However, if I were, I would accept anybody the way they are, black, white, man, woman, gay, queer or whatever, because “God” wanted them to be that way. For some reason, priests, pastors, preachers, holy men and other con artists don’t teach their “flock” this way. I wonder why.

Will tomorrow’s cartoon show Jesus turning around and telling the two guys to go and sin no more?

JC never mentioned gay people, but he did point out how evil rich people can be several times.

The Roman Catholic church forbids non-Catholics from receiving Communion, with a few exceptions. For example, Orthodox Christians may receive Communion during a Latin Mass. I submit this as a prelude to a comment on today’s cartoon.

During an informal discussion of religion (read: bull session) with a handful of people, wherein one of the group was a priest, one of the participants posed a scenario for him. The gist of it was, “What would Jesus (putatively as a priest or Eucharistic minister) do if a person, a non-Catholic, presented him or her self to receive Communion?”

Who would Jesus hate?

Today’s evangelists are the ‘Modern Day Pharisees’. They oppose what Jesus taught.

Jesus was WOKE, right wingers hate that.

There was a minister who wrote editorials for an Oklahoma newspaper, and he did not reveal that he was a minister. The letters to the editors after many of his editorials were hate filled rants. They basically were very unChristian viewpoints from people who considered themselves Christian and weekly church goers and some, were church elders.

The other month I saw a bumper sticker: I AM A MONSTER, BUT AT LEAST I’M NOT A CHRISTIAN.

There are too way many busy bodies, especially in the GOP.

Most of the elderly I know (myself being elderly) have no issues with the LGTQP (there’s got to be a better way to say that). I think the cartoonist would’ve been more accurate if he depicted the MAGAts who tend to be the more intolerant ones.

Jesus owns words. So any groomers out there pay attention. Really cutting a kid’s twig and berries off, sorry! That is a no-go!

And Jesus was talking about the poor, not the LGBTQ community.

If you should mislead one of these little ones, it would be better if a millstone were hung about your neck and you drown in the depths of the see. Misleading people to think that sin is not a sin, would qualify.

I read somewhere about a priest who preached the Beatitudes one Sunday and one of his flock complained about all that “woke” stuff.

If they were real Bible-Thumpers they would be quoting the scripture that condemns “men laying with men”.
