I usually fluctuate between 2 sizes. And 5 pounds up or down is critical. If I love something (mostly pants which are less forgiving than a dress), I’ll buy both sizes.
Ellisaana is right – buy what fits. Then, unlike Cathy, actually wear it. Then, when you lose some weight you get the thrill of shopping for new clothing – if you like that sort of thing.
Happy long weekend Saturday. I hope everyone is staying safe. I had enough heavy traffic between home and the local walmart (about 4km) to last me for another week. I am staying home the rest of the weekend.

It’s lot like buying tools for a project you are going to start “some day”. You don’t.
There will be plenty of time to take your svelte body out clothes shopping. They are really unlikely to stop making clothes that you will want.

Buy what fits. That particular dress could be taken in if you lose weight. Or, by the time you’ve lost that weight you might want a different style.

Or she could just live in the moment—here and now …
But, then, where would our (◔_◔) be? Ha.
