The trick is to tell the facts without implying that you, the parents, have ever done that! (And hope it takes her awhile to realize how you became parents…)
My Dad sat me down and said it was time for “the talk.” Then he said, “So tell me everything I need to know to be up to speed!” We both had a good laugh and never had the talk. Now-a-days the public school shows a video about puberty (only with parental consent – also invited to watch with child) at the end of 5th grade. I’m glad b/c they also address personal hygiene! (a big issue!)
