That’s a very — generous — way of looking at how the obscenely rich behave. In my observation (from some distance), they pay real attention to the technical legalities, but spend most of their effort bribin… I mean donating to legiscritters to make sure the laws are biased in their favor.
When I was first aware of such things, “offshoring the wealth” was a thing to avoid taxes. Now they just change the rules here at home. We have become a third world nation in many ways.
For an example of this look to MTG. She does no work other than waltzing into meetings to create soundbites and then leaves without doing anything that benefits anyone.
What if we forced them share the money that we made for them?
UPS workers just negotiated an immediate $7.50 per hour raise for each and every worker, premium low-cost insurance, enviable retirement plans, and tuition assistance for the kids.
UPS corporation isn’t doing this because they are woke, or richer than the other 1% ers, or because of clever strategizing —
They were forced to do it by the people who actually do the work. Shipping prices will not go up any more than usual. The sky didn’t fall. The economy didn’t crash. Eggs didn’t go up to $20 a dozen.
Same amount of money in circulation, just in different wallets.
