This is the party that wanted to make the federal government so small it could be flushed down the toilet.

I understand that they feel the need, but I surely don’t understand WHY the party that claims to be about smaller government and fiscal conservatism acts exactly opposite to their founding principles. Though it does kinda explain why so many of them lie so freely.

Well, gah-lee Scott, it’s almost looking like you’re not thinking of Republicans as being the Party of Small Government any more.

’Ja think they ALSO just might not be the Party of Fiscal Responsibility because of the debts they hang on the country?

And how ’bout that Party of Law&Order providing increased support for Their Messiah after he found liable for sexual assault and incurring multiple indictments — some of which he is almost certainly guilty, and others he is obviously guilty.

    .

At least you still believe in favorable tax cuts for the rich, right?

I fault both parties for that, from my perspective the democrat s are worse but government in general should just butt out of the bulk of their nonsense.

Except it’s the Dems that are up in everybody’s business. They will raise your kids because they are the property of the state. Gas stoves. Water heaters. no more. End fossil fuels. And on and on. The Dems want to make every decision for you because they know better in their minds.

Republicans want to force people to use only their regulated pronouns. Republicans want to force women to into births even if it endangers their life. Republicans want to force you to not have access to certain books. Republicans want to force you to wear certain clothes. Republicans also want to force poor people to take drug tests in order to receive government aid (even though it has always been shown to be a waste o taxpayer money). The party that wants to be in everyone’s personal business has always been the Conservative Party, and that is clearly the Republicans these days.

This party could start to right this country, IF, it’s members decided to take courageous steps. Right now, it is just a bunch of willfully ignorant morons.

I remember the party of Barry Goldwater that wanted to get government out of folk’s lives. He even believed a woman should have to right to choose since the government wasn’t supposed to get in her way. The Repubs were very libertarian, in those days. Now, the Repubs want to control everything. Government isn’t big enough. Now, the Dems are more into small government when it comes to personal control. When it comes to government assistance to the poor, curbing climate change, and generally helping the general public, the Dems for big government. But, for everything else, Dems have a l’aise affair attitude.

Once upon a time, there might have been something resembling principles in what has since become the Repugnant Party. These days it’s all just disingenuous BS. There is no honor. It’s all just posturing for the sake of grabbing and using power

I remember when the Republican party wanted to limit government. Turns out, that mostly only applies to big business. That’s a shame because it’s that drew me into it.

For me that is more appropriate for democrats than republican but it is engrainedin the existing government, which never gets fixed. It is governments job to keep us safe not meddle in our lives and boss us around. To add insult to injury they tax us to fund their intrusions.
