too dark to see in there , more likely she realized her being kicked occasionally was coming from twin next to her rather than from outside of womb.

Dumb question but aren’t most birds twins or triplets?

Shouldn’t that be a double yoke and be across the crowded egg.

In many old families, which came out first was important, because it determined who inherited the title, or lands. As for birds, they usually hatch in the order the were laid.

it may have been crowded, but there was still womb to grow…
