An overachiever? Well, that’s one way to put it. I think I’m going to call her that now. You’re not a nut, you’re an overachiever, Cathy! No, that just doesn’t sound right. Sorry, Cathy, I tried…Good morning, legaleagle (nice – very succinct today :-), Susan (have a good time at the soup kitchen!), and Aaron! Hello to GsMom, Billy, KFG, rgcviper, lindz.coop, hendelca, Mona, serenasakitty, kittycatpawsare, soonergal, lippyfish and all the other Cathy nuts rolling around here today!

Once I realized it was costing me $25@week on lunch and dinner = $100 monthly! I now bring both those meals to work with me.

Even in frugality I are STILL a nut job

She made it only half way this time. Sigh. Without all that ‘factoring in’ should would have been fine. Charlene, roll you eyes at her. I just can’t.

Speaking of eyes, I have gone from (in about 18 hours) blurry black & white to blurry color in my left eye. One more giant leap. :-D

    Hi Mom!

A for effort lightenup. :-) Hello fellow Cathyites. Wish I could post in the a.m. but I’m getting home late or getting home way tired. Actually I’m happy enough to make it here, so I guess it doesn’t matter. :-)

I can’t say it any better than Aaron did. If Cathy would stop taking that one last step, she’d be way less of a nut job. Geez Louise.

    Hi Mom

Quiet night at home. I’m enjoying Aaron’s news. He can be knocked down but he’ll never be knocked out.

If only this comic gave out a dollar for every eye-roll, to each person who rolls the eyes … we’d all be rich by now. And that’s why we all love “Cathy”, right?

Happy to hear that some of you enjoyed yesterday’s “Tina’s Groove” comic I mentioned. I left you a reply on yesterday’s “Cathy”.

    Hello, everyone.

Just as I was beginning to think: “Who is this strange, sensible frugal woman and what did she do with our spendthrift, nut job Cathy?!?” . . . she finally showed up again in panel 4! I just knew she couldn’t be too far away!

    ;-)

Hi Cathyites!! Such good news Aaron — human eyes are so amazing — b & w one day, color the next. May you proceed to non-blurry soon!!! :D

As for Cathy, she’s right — you can’t win. Either spend all your time (worth some money) letting the stores make an idiot out of you to save a buck, or just go blow the buck on what you want. Why do I have to wait for a sale, clip coupons, run around comparing prices, to save a quarter on something? Why can’t they just lower the prices? Macy’s has a sale every week, if you clip the coupons, come to the store at the right time etc.

And my personal favorite is when they give you a voucher to save money the NEXT time (usually time limited to one week from now) you come in the store, when you just spent $100 or more. Sure, I have another $100 to come back next week. Sorry for the rant, but it’s insulting.
