Oh jeez, Irving. As much as I love animals, don’t grovel. She’ll come around, I swear. And Cathy, wipe this experience from your mind. The whole game of “glaring and sulking” is ridiculous. One thing that I love about my husband is that he doesn’t play games.Good morning, Susan and Aaron! Glad to hear that hazmat class is going well. I remember what happened to your eye. :-(Hello to GsMom, Billy, KFG, gmforde, rgcviper, lindz.coop, hendelca, Mona, serenasakitty, kittycatpawsare, soonergal and all the other Cathy nuts rolling around here today!p.s. Good luck to lightenup jr. who is competing in the chess state tournament tomorrow!!

If Cathy acted that way Irving would call her a “witch”. Amazing what dogs can get away with!

Dog experts call it “being aloof.” Some breeds are born with this ability. All Irving has to do is wave a doggy treat at her and she’ll change her mind real fast. It works every time!

If Vivian is upset, she’ll get over it around dinner time!

No Cathy, that’s not a lesson to learn. If you look in the mirror, you’ll see a crazy person. The same one we see every day (and yet, somehow, love anyway). You’re not beyond hope, but just barely.

LMB is confused with my work week this week. He’s used to sitting on the bottom stair waiting for me around 6:00 a.m. Instead he’s kissing my nose at 6:00 to get me up. He’ll be even more confused when I’m away at training and won’t be coming home each morning.

lightenup jr doesn’t need luck tomorrow. She’s got skill and a great mom. What else is there to need? Just make sure she gets a great hug before and after, win or lose.

Training is done for hazmat. Awful afternoon to tell you guys the truth. Watching a live demo of the solvent treated with foam vs. water was too much to watch. Now we know why Jon died. :-(

lindz.coop one good thing that came from this is that all warehouses that store anything get inspected by the fire department every six months. Their inventory sheets must match what they’re storing, and we look in every nook possible. Our city captains losing any one on their crews again to illegal materials won’t be stood for, and they’ve made that crystal clear to attorneys and judges. The warehouse in our case was sued. I refused $$ compensation, though they were the ones to pay for my two eye surgeries (about $300,000 each). Jon’s family wouldn’t take money either. It’s not what makes us feel better. Cap’n stepped in and made sure that Jon’s kids education is paid for though, every level of it including grad school if they want to go that far. Jon’s sons want to be like daddy.

LOL Aaron is too hard on Cathy. It’s not only her fault she’s a crazy person. Mom is a nut job too. And her office mates. And Charlene The Enabler tops it all off. I have more pity for Cathy. Her against the crazy people. She doesn’t have a fighting chance.

lightenup jr GO GET EM! :-D Mom has to buy the ice cream if you win and you have to buy if you lose.

lindz.coop is right, the Apple TV (streaming box) is nice. We have the 2010 model, which supports 720p HD. Our student friends gave the not so subtle hint that 1080p is better and then put their money where their mouths are. $99 bucks well spent on their part. And they get our older model for their TV at the dorm.

Time to take Aaron out for the eveing and cheer him up.

Last dog (Saucy) was very good at snubbing if we went off and left her a few days.Current dog (Moxie, pictured on the left) is bouncy, happy waggy anytime we come home.

I’ve had men grovel in my lifetime. But it was long ago and far away.

Thank you, everyone, for the nice wishes for lightenup jr.! She was so thrilled to read them! :-)I’ll let you know how it goes tomorrow…Hope you guys enjoy your new Apple TV. It sounds like you have some great friends there, which you both really deserve.@Aaron – it sounds like you have a great captain, who really cares about his team, who in turn cares about him. That is fantastic and I’m glad you all take care of each other. It’s a lesson we all could take to heart.

    [Sigh] Pretty pathetic, Irving.

(Not that I expect much more from these characters, but still. Ha.)

    Hi Cathyites!!

Lightenup — wish L Jr good luck from me (but as Aaron said, she really has her skills to get her through).

Aaron — So glad that so much good came of your ordeal. I know what you mean about the $$ offered for these tragedies — who wants it!!? (I felt the same way when my father died — folks told me to sue — what for? It wouldn’t bring any satisfaction for me.)

As for Cathy, I suppose she could learn to speak his language if she really wants him — Vivian obviously has.
