Cathy and Irving are just two nuts in a shell. Can’t they talk about anything normal?? While I understand some talk about the new excitement in his life (Vivian), relating every minute detail is ridiculous and boring. Sure, talk about how she has changed your life and how amazing she is, but he is being mindnumbingly boring. And then Cathy goes to the other extreme… she wants to jump ahead to talking about their unresolved feelings! And this one date is pivotal? Wow… (shaking head)Please just relax and enjoy your dinner! Good morning, Cathy nuts! Aaron, I hope you’re awake and feeling good. I’m glad you have Billy there with you to keep you company. Please let us know how things are going…Hello to Susan, nannygram, GsMom, KFG! I’m feeling lonely here, so feel free to post, everyone

Too much yak yak; too little real words. The dogs would be embarrassed if they knew what their care givers were doing.

Morning lightenup no longer lonely. Morning Susan. Afternoon Mom! when you come round. Hope all the Cathyites are coming by to see the lunacy. I’m convinced it makes our lives look totally normal even when they’re not.

Billy here, reading and laughing it up with friend Aaron. He’s got 22 comics he reads every day, though we came here first. I had a lesson in how to change his bandage every four hours, how to check for infection and cloudiness, taking care of swelling (and his eye looks like he went 20 rounds with the world champ). If I can show I know what I’m doing (hint: he’s a paramedic and I’m a doc) we can return home tomorrow afternoon. Fingers crossed.

Thanks for the update, Billy! Glad to hear all is going well so far, and of course laughter is the best medicine. You two are the dynamic duo… I tend to get woozy when it comes to serious injuries, so the medical field is not an option for me. While not as exciting or high-tech as Aaron’s eye, my sweet 8 yo just got a leg cast today for 3 weeks. It’s cute, so I’ll post a pic tomorrow.

Poor Irving! The look of relief on his face in the 4th panel as Cathy starts talking about her dog rather than anything more serious regarding their relationship (or non-relationship . . . whatever it is these days!) is absolutely hilarious!

Aaron: So very glad to hear your surgery went well and that you’ll be coming home again soon!

Dr. Billy: What a dear, sweet friend you are! Aaron is very lucky to have you in his life (and vice versa)!

Good afternoon, lightenup, Susan, K.F.G. and all the other Cathy fanatics joining us here today. As always, good to “see” you all!

We talk more about our friends’ pets than we do about them. Now Cathy and Irving have something in common as a distraction. lol
