Team him with Spud Webb and he’ll look taller!

I wonder if Murray ever made that offer to Mugsy Bogues.

I’ve never seen Bryce Young, but I did just search for him on the Web. I had expected him to be in the 5’9"-5’10" range, (“little” Bobby Richardson, as he was called, great Yankees second baseman in the 50s and 60s, was 5’9", so I had that expectation here) but Bryce is actually 6’0", so I guess this arc refers to his build rather than his height.

David Eckstein was the MVP of the World Series in 2006 with the Cardinals. He was 5’6" tall and started his career in the Red Sox system. I remember going to Lowell Spinners games and thinking that he looked about twelve. In 2007, the Spinners, known for their wacky promotions, honored him with a giveaway of “David Eckstein World Series MVP stepstools,”

Doug Flutie is only 5-10 and he had trouble at that size, despite his skills.
