Hey Lisa, if the default happens, wouldn’t your puppet masters lose a lot of money in the stock market? If so, why are they so hell-bent on causing this damage to American economy and reputation?
Lisa, your party’s stated goal is to harm the establishment. Defaulting on debt will harm the establishment. When you get what you demanded remember that you wanted this.
Biden alone can decide to default. He needs nothing from Congress. Revenue flows are more than enough to service the debt. Just a matter of priority. Biden’s priority.
I think we all know it is just drama. A circus full of clowns for the low brow, knuckle dragging audience who believes such drama.
Like people who believe the WWF is real. . . . seem to happen every year. The politicians of both sides are just posturing to get something they want an line their own pockets.
Dems, the ball is in your court. Quit blaming the republicans. The repub’s passed the Limit, Save and Grow Act of 2023. The big shocker? They’re trying to roll back spending to the gasp same levels of 2022. Yep, just last year. What heartless people, the republicans are.
Seriously ? Yellin is sounding the alarm but she has no legislative powers to raise the debt ceiling herself. I’d love to know what Lisa thinks Yellin can do to get this impasse resolved
Biden knows the left in his party won’t be happy about compromise, while McCarthy would have the right in his party (which he had to make deals with to get the Speaker’s gavel) won’t be happy with deals with Biden and the Democratic Majority in the Senate (and Minority in the House). Neither of them wants default (which won’t be good for anyone), so I fully expect them to reach a deal with the debt ceiling. Of course, in a few months, they might get into another kerfuffle over the budget risking a government shutdown. But we’ve survived shutdowns, we likely won’t survive a debt default. I expect Biden and the Democrats to be the grownups in the room and avoid a default and/or a shutdown. Then they could start figuring out how to hang on to the White House and Senate (and win back the House) in 2024 and start nurturing new talent for 2026, 2028 and beyond.
If your looking for a dictator-in-chief, check which president issued the most executive orders during his time in office. Not Trump but FDR. But then he had 13 years to issue them. In his day he was decried a dictator. Today he is is regarded one of our best presidents. What will history say in 20 years about our current stand-off and the competence of the last 2 presidents.
Biden believes he will be “blameless” if the US defaults. The number in chief also believes he’s blameless for the botched Afghanistan withdrawal, the border crises, high has prices, high inflation, …
The House PASSED a debt ceiling raise of over a trillion dollars. The problem is, it reduces some of the BS spending over ten years. Dementia Joe and his commie handlers don’t want to cut spending at all. The problem is NOT with the House!

Nah, just ignore the crazy House republicans.
Invoke the 14th amendment and just make the debt payments.

Biden offered a spending freeze, showing he is willing to negotiate. McFarty thinks it is no progress. Translation: I didn’t get what I wanted.

Actually Biden should “pledge” to cut the deficit just as much as Donald did-he didn’t do it a dime.
