It is not a competition. None of you are going to be able to run a mile. Heck, when I was young and more fit than I am now I could barely walk a mile.

Hey – FloJo set world records and won Olympic gold medals… you ever see the hair on her?

The joke is that 5 inches is longer than 3 inches… Can someone throw a pie in someone else’s face?

I didn’t enjoy running as a youngster. Worked on a farm, and the slowest cow can outrun the fastest teenager. Got into running in my 30’s to be close to a female runner. Ran a couple of marathons and other races.

Relationship eventually withered – I quit running – now I bike and walk with occasional jogs. Running was really easy when I was into it. Now it’s not…

Starting at 15 I had to walk two miles to school every day because I lived two blocks inside the no bus service border.

I’m catching up on a year’s worth of Heart, but I have to say… when I was in high school in the late 80s/early 90s… my hair measured at 9 inches off the top of my head.
