Why would CNN put Lemon, Collins and Harlow on the same show when each one wants to be be talking all the time. Recipe for disaster.

Lemon has always been a self centered chauvinist jerk. Why he gets to stay on at CNN is a good question.

I needed to look up this up because I don’t get news from TV. What Don Lemon said was not cool. He should apologize once and then take a vacation. It looks like he’s worth about $30 million, so he doesn’t need his job. Maybe he should write a book if he’s bored. Or go to grad school.

The problem is: you can’t have it both ways. Most of the men are chosen for their capabilities (and often the voice). Women are chosen almost always for their looks – too often DESPITE the voice (so many of them seem to have vocal fry… i would never hire a reporter with vocal fry or irritating voices in general – male OR female). So if the women who are complaining about the discrepancy think about it – they might realize that without the looks they probably wouldn’t have been hired at all. What they might do is start insisting on really being treated like the men: No fancy make-up or hair: – make’ em look natural without eye shadow or blush or any of the extras that are NOT used on men. (In other words make them look real as opposed to top level models ready for the catwalk. (The difference between them and Christiane Amanpour is exactly the problem. Amanpour I can take seriously;. she dresses and sounds the part. Make ’em wear a suit like the men do…No cleavage. No jewellery. Onc they refuse to play the Femininity card, they will be taken seriously. After all, how many of the men come out wearing ultra-tight t-shirts to show off their muscles? Or pants cut to off a nice masculine bulge, Hmmm? So – stop playing the game! On Aj Jazeerah it is obvious that the women were hired for Politically Correct reasons above all else. They obvious want to show their Muslim viewers that women CAN be as good as men – by having at least 75% of their newscasters as women. But then they go further. Every one is stunning. Obviously chosen for her looks above all. The one which really grates is a newscaster who is always shot from ten feet away so that you see her entire body: extremely tight jeans showing off her stick-like legs, high heels, and the fact that she is not hiding any part of her body with a hijab. Was she really hired mainly for her journalistic or presentational skills. Not very likely.
