I don’t know about plate glass windows, but I have a good idea what windows cost since I had new kitchen windows put in last year. I want to do my 2 front windows this year (sometime in the summer). But couldn’t the vet’s insurance company pay for replacing that window?

    Today is:

    NATIONAL PERIODIC TABLE DAY

    NATIONAL FETTUCCINE ALFREDO DAY

NATIONAL SEND A CARD TO A FRIEND DAY. I’ve been meaning to send a card to my cousin, Becky, just to say hello. I even bought a card for her, but now I have to find it. Becky was hit by a car while crossing the street several months ago (hit and run and as far as I know, the driver was never found). She was in the hospital for quite a while, unable to walk. Her back was broken. Then she went into a nursing home for rehab. She never told me the name of the nursing home and I never asked because she had a cell phone and we kept in touch. But then she lost her phone and for months and months, I had no way to contact her. I googled nursing homes in Springfield, Ohio and there were too many to start calling them. I didn’t even know if she was still in a nursing home because she was trying to get into assisted living. She FINALLY called me a couple weeks ago and I got the name and address and phone number of the nursing home she is in. She is still trying to get her own cell phone. She is learning disabled and needs other people to help her with things like shopping or getting a phone or paying bills. It sure was good finally hearing from her! She is still doing rehab but is still in a wheelchair. She isn’t a strong person. I don’t know if she will ever get out of the wheelchair. But I need to get more communication going with her. I have to send her that card and a letter.

Off topic but I have a question:

Yesterday morning, I was in the middle of doing our taxes online when all of a sudden my desktop monitor changed and saidthe internet was no longer available. It happens so I didn’t think much of it. Who ever knows why it goes down? I checked off and on all morning – nothing. When Brad got home, I told him about it. He got out his laptop and it was working fine. My desktop? Not working. I checked my laptop. (this one) Working fine. Desktop – nope. I called my IT guy and since he couldn’t get in via his remote thing, he had no idea. I checked all connections from my monitor to the little black box.. Everything is fine. This morning, no changes.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? If it doesn’t work today, I’ll take the monitor and black box into Ronnies’ shop on Thurs.

We had a cat who once jumped through and broke a glass window. He was feral at the time and got cornered in an enclosed sun porch. No where else to go so he jumped at one of the windows. After he was neutered he turned into a real sweetheart.

I have sad news to share., Little LJ, Craig’a 13 year old Jack Russell, died Sunday afternoon. While out on our morning walk he was rolling around on the ground as if he was scratching his back while we stopped to chat with other neighbors and their dogs. I now believe it was a seizure. I slept for a few hours on the couch early afternoon as I had a bad headache, and later found him dead on Fred’s bed in my bedroom. Poor little guy should have had 3, 4, 5 more years. I am still shocked and so very sad. We went for a long steep hike the previous day and he was fine. I buried him under a cherry tree Craig had planted and covered him with some of Craig’s ashes.

Annie, you might have to shop for a new vet.

Uh oh, sounds like the Orange Menace caused quite a ruckus at the Vet. You might even say it was a CATastrophe! (Sorry, couldn’t resist.) On another note, saw a varied thrush and seven golden crowned kinglets while out walking today.
