Hegemony is the political, economic, and military predominance of one state over other states. In Ancient Greece (8th c. BC – AD 6th c.), hegemony denoted the politico-military dominance of the hegemon city-state over other city-states.
Many cartoons like this have been criticized as being antisemitic, since the Star of David is a symbol, sort of, of the Jewish people. The problem is that the State of Israel sees itself as “the Jewish State,” and has co-opted the Jewish symbols of the menorah and the Star. Furthermore, it claims to represent all Jews around the world, and to be supported by all Jews around the world. No wonder that many who support the rights of Palestinians buy this line and consequently blame all Jews around the world for the sins and crimes of the Israeli government.
(Not that there aren’t lots of “old-fashioned” antisemites around, who don’t care about the Palestinians or who just use them as a convenient excuse for their hate. Jewish Space Lasers, anyone?)
Having recently been to Jerusalem, I saw graffiti calling for the complete takeover of all if Israel by extreme factions of Palestinians. A two-state solution will be possible ONLY if sensible leaders of both sides can police and curb their own extremists. Israel isn’t gonna go anywhere, neither are the Palestinians.

Bibi is encouraging encroachment (armed) of Israelis into Jerusalem, including by building homes there.

Supporting Israel ‘no matter what’ is no longer feasible or reasonable.

Netanyahu still supports Trump, whose first endorsers were antisemitic NeoNazis. I loathe them all.
