Trump says he’s proud to have trusted Putin over ‘slime’ US intelligence agencies

Former President Donald Trump in 2018 had an infamous press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Finnish capital of Helsinki in which he signaled that believed Putin’s denials about having interfered in the 2016 election despite assessments to the contrary from American intelligence agencies. Four-and-a-half years later, Trump is now touting his trust of Putin over American intelligence agencies as a source of pride.

Seems to me Trump is saying he is a traitor.

Trump-aligned religious group ‘taps into unholy well’ that threatens democracy

A well-funded and powerfully connected extremist group is raising alarms about its activities ahead of the 2024 election.ReAwaken America, a project organized by Oklahoma businessman Clay Clark and funded by Donald Trump ally Patrick Byrne, has blended conspiracy theories about COVID-19 and the 2020 election to promote a Christian nationalist political message at rallies and other events, reported The Guardian.

Why do ‘religious’ people vote for a Putin loving lying rapist racist traitor?

Lawmakers still haven’t learned what risks Donald Trump’s classified docs posed to national security

Congressional leaders have been stalling a “damage assessment” after classified documents were seized from Donald Trump’s private resort. The chairmen of the Senate and House Intelligence Committees, Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) and Rep. Mike Turner (R-OH), have called for briefings on the fallout, which director of national intelligence Avril Haines promised to provide, but they both say “scheduling conflicts” have prevented those appraisals from happening, reported The Daily Beast.

Bill Barr’s ‘hollow and self-serving’ image rehabilitation tour shredded in scathing NYT editorial

A new opinion piece from New York Times editorial board member David Firestone takes a torch to former Attorney General Bill Barr’s efforts to rehabilitate his image following the calamitous ending of Donald Trump’s presidency. Firestone notes that Barr has tried to distance himself from Trump ever since resigning his post in December of 2020, shortly before Trump would incite a deadly riot at the United States Capitol building.

‘Like a domestic violence situation’: Former Rep. concerned about Lindsey Graham’s Trump relationship

In a discussion about Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), MSNBC host Ayman Mohyeldin suggested that he might be stuck in some kind of hostage situation for Donald Trump world. “I don’t know if it’s just me, but does Graham look like he’s being held hostage there?” the host asked after rolling footage of one of the recent Trump events. “Should we say, hey, Lindsey, blink twice if you need help? This is the same Lindsey Graham who repeatedly disavowed Trump both before he was elected, and after the Jan. 6th insurrection.”

Fringe-right doubles down on Pelosi lies even after videos prove their conspiracy theories wrong

For months after the attack on Nancy Pelosi’s husband, the far right has promoted conspiracy theories that Paul Pelosi was engaged in a gay lover’s quarrel and that he knew the attacker. It’s a fact that even the attacker denies. Another came from an image that circulated on Facebook before the video dropped showing a man in a thong looking out of a hotel window. It claimed that this was a teaser of the video. It wasn’t. This week, the video was released by police, and instead of admitting that they were wrong, conspiracy theorists either doubled down or questioned a further conspiracy about why it took so long to release the video.

Fright wingers are obviously mentally ill.
