Quite a thaw!

Flowers and butterflies already? Winter is only 3 weeks old!

We’re having a cold snap. Frozen iguanas are falling out of trees… again. Memo to the large lizards: y’all are too far north, boyz’n’grrlz. (The cold doesn’t kill them, it just stuns them, they’re unconscious; the fall, now, depending on how high up they were and what they fall onto, now that might kill them.)

If it gets a little colder, something which hasn’t occurred in nearly 50 years will happen: actual snow.

January always gets a bad wrap, but I LOVE January! We have lots of birthdays in my family this month, including mine! :D Always something to celebrate. Plus, it’s the month of a brand new year and brand new possibilities. :)

“January thaw”? I wish. It hasn’t felt as cold as usual here this winter overall, thankfully (on some days … ), though we’ve had some Arctic-feeling times.
