Hay! Farmers are the original pluggers, and maybe cows too.

Hopefully one day they will display a cave where Jesus was born according to the Gospels of Matthew and Luke not the depiction of the Nativity of Jesus, by Botticelli, c. 1473–1475

Just don’t donate used hay from a race track or a dairy farm — although that might add an air of realism to the scene.

Wall Street Pluggers use Ticker-Tape.

Shredded paper works if you don’t have straw and is also bio-degradable.

We loaned out sheep to a nativity scene a few times.

Hay hay hay! Ho ho ho!

Used to love the ‘barn smell’ after my Great Grandfather would bring the hay into the barn’s hayloft…
