Let the gas lighting begin. Mr. Bekom here would like us to believe that a Democratic Congress voted to impose the deal on the Railroad workers union. However, it was a rare bipartisan effort in both parties supporting the intervention and opposing it.

Politicians aren’t going to permit a strike that would tank the economy leading right up into Christmas….Republican or Democrat.

All the ones opposed are doing it symbolically knowing that the result they want will happen regardless. I don’t know if they are cowards are just dishonest.

Biden and the Democrats are acting exactly like fascists in dealing with the railroads and unions. This is what fascists do in mandating controls on business but now they’ve gone and included unions.

Having a major rail strike would only benefit Republicans (politically).

A rail strike would be infinitely worse than an airline strike.

If there was a railway strike there would be without any doubt a major recession early in 2023 and then the Republicans would happily blame the Democrats for doing nothing to resolve the dispute. How nice republicans in the Senate won’t join democrats in granting them more sick leave which is the biggest sticking point. Hopefully in the near future President Biden and Congress can come together to get them the paid sick leave these workers do deserve

I’d like to think you support workers getting paid sick leave but knowing you this is just another dishonest attempt to smear Democrats.
