I long ago figured out that with berries, there’s just so much flavor per berry. The bigger the berry, the less intense the taste. I think “humanity” may work in a similar way. There’s only so much goodness… and the further you spread it, the less each of us has, on average.

Given the trajectory, nature will likely take care of the human overpopulation problem within 50 – 100 years. faster if certain factions that will be gone before then have their way.

There’s at least one religious group that preaches against premarital sex, against birth control… but once you’re married, please do the deed as often as you can to produce as many children as possible to grow the religion. What do they offer the world in return?

The consumption thing might be the most dangerous for the planet. Every ideology can use it to strength their belief.
