Never skrimp on cold weather gear. We have Columbia parkas, fleece jackets and vests from Columbia and Patagonia. Boots and socks from several makers. And the Mrs has gone crazy with scarves. And for our 25th anniversary I found a lady on the mainland who knits with qiviut and got a chemise for SWMBO. She loves it. Winter can be fun in Canada if you prepare.
