Ramirez — like most (all?) right-wingers — ignores the FACT that the FED controls only one thing: interest rates. It’s also a fact that the FED was asleep at the switch last year, when it should have started rate hikes.
The pain inflicted will only stop when we stop spending. We haven’t felt enough pain yet. Even when mortgage interest rates surpassed 20% we kept buying houses.
Where do we cut the spending? Can’t cut the military budget, because every congress critter has a military industry provider in their state. Infrastructure improvements helps the little people, so lets cut that.
We’re ALL too selfish to tolerate what it will take to get back to the pre-pandemic economy. The politcal elites are feathering their beds on inside information. People will buy expensive items & travel with money they don’t, i.e. on credit they will have difficulty paying off. Many states have out if control spending & kick the can of paying down public debt down the road. And then there is crime, if I go on this will become TLDR.
Cool, another car going off the road cartoon analogy. Did you run out of airplanes diving out of control, trains derailing or ships sinking? So weak and misleading, please do something talented and unique for once.

You must be too young to remember what runaway inflation was like. I’ll take the over-correction any and every day.

Why all the fuss? Inflation is transitory, says Joe.
