Well, that’s approximately 20 minutes of Nancy’s life she’ll never get back.
Based on her ability to get Nancy to watch intently (and quietly!), I think Agnes has been proven right.
We call that implied or reading between the lines. I wonder if the writers call it, writing between the lines?

Some authors call the method “Show, Don’t Tell”. Some go the other way, “Tell, Don’t Show”. I wish more authors would do both.
