But hey look, everyone. I’ve said quite a few times that Lisa’s cartoons depict her viewpoints, as with all these cartoonist. Many folks on here don’t quite care for her comics but two things. They’re still reading her and #2, she like the rest of these cartoonists are getting paid for their talents and crafts. And she has achieved what I believe is one of the ultimate goals of the American Dream, and that’s to be self employed.

Putin instigated the breaking away of 4 provinces from Ukraine with the invasion. Now, he will claim that the new republics are part of Russia and fall under its protection. If/when Ukraine invades them, it might be the trigger that psychopath wants to use a tactical nuke.

And yet what a terrible price to pay

I realize that transcribing place names from Cyrillic to Latin is sometimes challenging. On the other hand, proper research should be done even when drawing a toon. But since Lisa is a GQPer she may be forgiven for the use of “Donesk”.

After the November elections you will see MAGA republicans announce their support of Russia over Ukraine and this cartoon will likely follow suite. Right now support of Russia would not play well at the polls. Very soon anti-Ukranian rhetoric will fly freely from their wicked tongues and their yellow and blue flag pins will disappear from over their blackened hearts. Please remember that Putin is an ally of the former disgraced US president and Zelenskyy is his enemy that refused the extortion plot to investigate his election rival and eventual Presidential victor Biden.
