Its time to dissolve the monarchy

I saw a British commentator this morning who said it all became real to him when he heard people singing “God Save The King”.

I hope we’ll be limiting this to one piece.

Charles is capable of standing straight and looking spiffy. That is all that is required of a British monarch. They haven’t had any actual political power in generations. The British seem to think the cost of supporting a ceremonial monarch is worth it, and it’s their call.

Talk about the changing of the guards. From Queen Elizabeth to Charles, what a change.

…except that, like his late Queen, he would not let personal feelings overcome his duty.
