Nimby is alive and well in my city. you apply to build a doghouse in your yard and the protestors are flooding city hall to prevent it from being built. In the last year the Nimby’s have blocked rapid transit for those who don’t drive, low income housing, road widening, neighbourhood densification (taller apartment buildings), and rezoning of unoccupied industrial/retail properties to create parks with native plants to help bees and butterflies have areas where they can forage for food and thrive.
