this is the second time I’ve heard of that bird; the first was in a Calvin and Hobbes strip where Calvin’s doing a crossword puzzle (the clue “bird” had to be answered in five boxes)

This year, that bird should be about five hundred pounds.

That just sucked all the joy out of today’s cartoon!

The bluebirds have been under heavier attack this year. Perhaps a gentler fall and winter. Make the best of them together.
