Far be it from me to correct Moses and/or Eric . . . Oh, OK, I’ll correct them both:

“Why DOTH thy smoke follow me?” The subject is “thy smoke”, not “thou”.

(You’re hearing this from someone who every school-day for 12 years had the King James Bible read to him in public school by Pennsylvania law.)

My first thought, like @the reader, was the NK Cole(?) ear worm. Then I started remembering campfires and it just kept getting funnier.

This “God” being seem to be a big jerk.

God makes it difficult for Moses to toast his marshmallow, even with his long long staff.

Moses, we are in the middle of a drought, chop the bush down and put the fire out. Problem solved.
