Bob Dylan will put you to sleep….Oy

He’s a great writer but in his old age, a singer he’s not!

If they are old enough to have attended original Beatles concerts, then they need a nap to get enough energy to stay up for it.

If you have ever gone to a McCartney concert, you would understand. He plays non stop for over 3 hours, you are standing most of the time so you can see him over the people in front of you, you are dancing and singing along to everything and it is a blast. Seen him 3 times and never disappointed at all

Dylan was/is a great poet and philosopher. Not a great singer.

I have been to a lot of concerts some that are big time were McCartney and Cher (they got you so peaked that when you left you were drained but still fired up from the concert.) Others were Peter Noone (Herman Hermits) and the late Paul Revere & The Raiders, throw in The Turtles Happy Together Tour. I enjoyed a lot of country groups (most times too many drunks in the crowd seem to want to drunkenly and loudly sing along. Add in Kid Rock because he just seems to genuinely care about where and who he is performing for. Only time I ever almost slept through a concert Ronnie Milsap opened for Don Williams, it was like fireworks going off to leave you only with a sparkler, it was good but Don should have played first then Milsap.

As a septuagenarian, I am beyond annoyed when I see ageist jokes and comments about “elderly” senior citizens. I can only think that the person making those comments doesn’t know anybody my age. I certainly don’t feel that old, and naps? BTW-I’m writing this at 4 am. I’m very much like I was at 19 – stay up late and sleep until noon. ;-)

Now I can’t stop thinking about Paul McCartney. I wasn’t quite old enough to go see The Beatles, but I saw him, along with Linda, in 1990 at the California Memorial Stadium at Berkeley. It was truly the best concert I have ever attended!!!
