The right keeps saying that the Constitution should be interpreted as the founders intended. On the subject of gun rights, I agree. People should be allowed to keep and bear as many front-loading flintlock muskets as they wish.

How about we treat every young man who wants to buy a gun like every woman who wants to get an abortion: mandatory 48-hr waiting period, parental permission, a note from his doctor proving he understands what he’s about to do, a video he has to watch about the effects of gun violence, and an ultrasound wand up the ass (just because).

Let’s close down all but one gun shop in every state and make him travel hundreds of miles, take time off work, and stay overnight in a strange town to get a gun. Make him walk through a gauntlet of people holding photos of loved ones who were shot to death, people who call him a murderer and beg him not to buy a gun.

It makes more sense to do this with young men and guns than with women and health care, right? I mean, no woman getting an abortion has killed a room full of people in seconds, right?

I still think action on guns will probably not happen until there are mass shootings at crowds of rich people or their kids.

Gun Control Logic1-Eleven teens die each day because of texting while driving. Maybe its time to raise age of Smart Phone Ownership to 21.

2 If gun control laws actually worked, Chicago would be Mayberry, USA.

3 The second Amendment makes more women equal than the entire feminist movement.

4 Legal gun owners have 300 million guns and close to a trillion rounds of ammo. Seriously, folks, if we were the problem, you’d know it.

5 When JFK was killed, nobody blamed the rifle.

6 The NRA (National Rifle Association) murders 0 people and receives ($$$$ 0) nothing in government funds. Planned Parenthood kills 350,000 babies every year and receives $500,000,000 in tax dollars annually.

7 I have no problem with vigorous background checks when it comes to firearms. While we’re at it, let’s do the same when it comes to immigration, Voter ID & candidates running for office.

Don’t know who wrote this but I wish I did.

How can you have logical conversation on guns in a country where 30% of the people say it their right to make others sick through carrying a disease? The “I hate” minority does control this country because to many of the other 70% does not vote for change. We are a nation of “what is in it for me?” “Does it affect my money?”

These “militias” are not well regulated. In fact, they won’t stand for ANY regulations at all!

The second Amendment has ALWAYS been misinterpreted – It’s there to justify not having a standing national army.

The Right have ALWAYS JUST ignored the first five words of the amendment – ALWAYS!

They seem to forget the part of 2nd Amendment that says to form a well REGULATED Militia
