Abbott laboratories allowed salmonella to form in the production line of their baby formula facilities. They raised prices of formula. The ReThuglican members of congress voted to not allow an investigation into this. The reThuglican members of congress voted to not provide funding to alleviate the problem and ease the availability of infant formula.

Remember that “the Pro Life party” were the ones that voted against investigating the poisoning of infants, including some infants that died because of this. They also voted against helping families get infant formula that is in extremely short supply.

Dollars before babies. That’s all they think. Just dollars before babies.

I bet the GOP would have complained if he had tried to import the baby formula three weeks earlier. It was his fault that there was a shortage but he will get no credit for trying to solve the problem using the military.

Oddly interesting: yesterday’s cartoon looks identical to today’s.

It took them a year to start doing something about it. Damn republicans.

If at all possible, natural supply (i.e. breastfeeding) is healthiest.

Perhaps formula from the EU would be better since they use cane sugar instead of corn syrup as a sweetener. Much like the Coca Cola bottlers in Mexico still use sugar instead of corn syrup. Just saying.
