The most revealing Freudian slip in the history of American politics.
We get attacked by Saudi terrorists (15 out of the 19 terrorists who attacked us on 9/11 were Saudi, including the mastermind, Osama bin Laden, heir to the bin Laden family fortune from his family’s billions as contractors to the House of Saud, operating out of bases in Afghanistan hosted by the ultraconservative militant operation of Al Qaeda for the political government of the Taliban.
Oilmen Bush and Cheney don’t want to offend their oilmasters of OPEC and Saudi Arabia, sothey make only a tepid response in Iraq and look for a more lucrative target,.
So instead, they direct their response to Saddam Hussein in Iraq, who was definitely a bad guy, but who had been fully contained by the Clinton administration’s no-fly zone and other actions, was no threat to the United States, but was rich in OIL which oilmen Bush and Cheney coveted, and which Donald Rumsfeld called better targets and Dubya Bush caused the United States to commit war crimes and invade Iraq.
And in his lip service condemnation of obvious war crimes in which Vladimir Putin essentially copies the Bush plan of invasion of an innocent sovereign nation, Bush makes the Freudian slip of a lifetime and essentially admits that he is guilty of the same war crimes he accuses Putin of.
But then what can you expect when Bush said that he had looked into Putin’s eyes and had found a soul mate.
Let’s reflect on a couple of other nefarious things about Iraq. The torture of POWs was intended to get someone to “confess” that Iraq had WMDs and had a hand in 9/11. Torture has always been used to get answers wanted by the torturer regardless of the truth. Kavanaugh was involved in discussions about the torture of POWs, but he denied any involvement during a confirmation hearing – his first perjury in front of Congress to get a judicial appointment.
One other thing I’ve been thinking about – the gun nuts are back to their “too soon” nonsense about gun control after yet another mass shooting. Funny how quickly the “Patriot” Act came out after 9/11. Then again, it was probably in the RWNJs back pocket based on plans from PNAC written by Jeb Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, etc.
the Shrub has to be happy that he is no longer considered the Worst and Dumbest American President of all time, since Agolf Twitler took over those standings starting in 2016.
