This must be the diversion of the day. The complications of interstellar travel, pretty much guarantees there are no ET’s visiting Earth. I suppose, they could send a robot probe, like we’ve sent to Mars. However, given the distance any planets even thought might be able to support life, is so far away, that by the time they receive any of our radio communications, if they have the technology to receive them and they are too distorted from natural radiowaves, and such. Anyway, by the time they receive such and have developed the technology to send such an explorer to Earth, chance are good, it will be centuries before any such thing could arrive. Coupled with it needing to get through the atmosphere and not land in an ocean or crash into the earth. It would have to be on full on AI, as any directions to correct from such a great distance, would take months or even years to make it to their rover. At best, if such a planet existed and was interested in Earth, they might be able to send a space craft to take pictures, but with the distance involved, and with the expansion of the Universe, it would take, I don’t have the math, so not sure, but thinking, based on how long it took us to get pictures from Pluto, a very, very, very long time.
What I’m trying to get to, is if you are worried about an alien invasion, you are not paying attention to what you should be. An invasion of locally grown fascists.
As I posted else where, I hope the increase in UFOs in the last 20 years means they are ready to step in and save us from ourselves.
That would put them on WISEA 2354+0240 or GJ 4053, assuming they turned around immediately and are travelling at c.
Of course, as a physicist I think there has to be life in the universe apart from us. But I don’t think anything from another star has visited us, with the usual proviso that they MAY have science we do not know about.

I find it so amusing that the “news” networks show the same two photos of UFO’s ? they’ve been showing for at least the last five years !
