“So please don’t point and stare, [Roger is] just technologically impaired.” ~Alfred Yankovic (his Coolio “Gangters’ Paradise” almost-intentional parody)

You would start by entering today’s value of your accounts. You might be thinking about entering 20 years worth of data, but who has time for that? A list of accounts can be left with your will.

This would be funny if it wasn’t so close to the truth.

You need to shred the documents, then feed them in.

Years ago, my mom had a small business building computers to order. One of her customers called her with a problem with his computer and asked if she could stop by and take a look at it. She dropped by his house, and he took her to the computer. While she was checking the computer, the man told her that he really loved the cup holder that came with the computer. Puzzled, she asked him what he was referring to. He pushed the button on the cd rom and placed his cup in the cd tray. This is a true story!

Of course the binder won’t fit. You’re supposed to feed the bills in one at a time, like a soda machine!

I recall a story about a call to tech support. The customer said that the machine just froze up and shut off right in the middle of his job. The tech support guy tried to talk the customer through it, then asked him a question to which the guy replied," I can’t read that. the lights are off". Turns out they has a power failure. the tech support person told the customer to pack the computer up and ship it back. "Is it that bad?, askes the customer. “Yes, it is. You’re too stupid to have a computer.” The tech guy got fired.

I don’t know if this is true ir false, but I am on the side of the tech support person.

When it came to computers, the only who could not figure them out was me. By the time i retired, I was a whiz!

Roger is probably the guy famous for calling the IT department at work, asking how to roll a floppy disk into his typewriter so he could type on the label.

My favorite that happened in the last few years. The computer would not turn on. Do you have anything on the monitor, NO. Any lights on the front of the computer? NO. Is it plugged in? Yes the plug is in the wall. Is it ALL the way in? Umm no, the cleaning lady pulled it our and didn’t put it all the way back in!
