That is EXACTLY the second (or third) thing that concerns me… And that concern is among the things that really concern me. How awful that I cannot even begin to work up a smidge of trust that the federal government actually works for the good of the nation!

That’s why it needs to be like the Surgeon General, not a political tool, but there to tell us when things we’re consuming are giving us cancer.

Russian disinformation is giving American Democracy cancer.

WE NEED SOME KIND OF WARNING LABEL!

A reminder that there is NOTHING Trump Republicans will not weaponize.

AS IF they believe government censorship is a bad thing.

It’s something that’s been needed to combat what you guys have been doing for decades, then ramped it up to the extreme since 2008.

If republicans, Fox and russians didn’t lie constantly we wouldn’t need a disinformation board.

Trump got by without a Disinformation Governance Board. He just used Kellyanne Conway and Sarah Huckabee Sanders to spread disinformation.

The serious, deadly consequences of Tucker Carlson’s actions

Before he was indicted on charges of killing 22 people and injuring 26 others in an El Paso, Texas, Walmart in 2019, the identified gunman had been linked to a document posted online that referred to a “Hispanic invasion of Texas.” The motivation behind that horrific incident — that there is an intentional, global plan orchestrated by national and global elites to replace white, Christian, European populations with nonwhite, non-Christian ones — gets at the core of a recent three-part New York Times series on the rise and ideology of Fox News’ Tucker Carlson.

Carlson has repeatedly used the language of replacement to suggest or directly argue that Democrats are orchestrating “demographic replacement.”

In part one of the series, journalist Nicholas Confessore describes Carlson’s efforts to stoke “white fear” of immigrants and changing U.S. demographics as “recasting American racism to present white Americans as an oppressed caste.” In so doing, Confessore shows, Carlson has drawn repeatedly on the leading far-right conspiracy theory of demographic change, known as the “great replacement.”

Stephen Miller denies new book’s claim that he wanted slain Isis leader’s severed head dipped in pig’s blood

Former Defense Secretary Mark Esper reportedly told Mr Miller that the act would be a ‘war crime’

Mr Miller wanted the special forces team who carried out the raid to secure al-Baghdadi’s head, dip it in pig’s blood and show it off as a deterrent to other Isis members, according to Mr Esper.

Mr Esper also revealed that the former president had asked him about launching missiles into Mexico to “destroy the drug labs” in 2020.

Mr Trump is said to have told Mr Esper that “we could just shoot some Patriot missiles and take out the labs, quietly”, and blame another country.

Mr Trump seemed more “emboldened, and more erratic after he was acquitted in his first impeachment trial”, Mr Esper wrote.

The book also revealed that Mr Trump wanted to put 10,000 active-duty troops on the streets of Washington DC during Black Lives Matter demonstrations in June 2020, and asked about shooting protesters.

The former cabinet member told The Times that his former boss was “an unprincipled person who, given his self-interest, should not be in the position of public service”.

If you would not trust the power with Trump, you should not trust Biden with the same power.
