Yeah. Remember all those cockeyed radical crazies who were all bent out of shape about trying to prevent climate change a dozen years back? Wonder what happened to THEM?
The same folks who cannot even or ever tell y’all the difference between weather and climate are the same kind of fools who keep ignoring that places like Lake Mead is frequently getting to the lowest levels in its history. And that’s not the only place. It’s not all just because California takes water. Even Texass has problems like that. But the Turd Reich will try to spin it into something like it’s gotta be all the billions illegals coming across to steal your water one canteen at a time or some other BS. Those damn fools spin more than whirling dervishes.
It is really sad when commenters like dnie deny the effects of humans on the environment. The hole in the ozone layer that was caused by CFCs started to close over time when these chemicals were banned. DDT was banned and the eagle populations started to recover because their egg shells got sturdier again. Dams completely change the local environment. Rivers that catch on fire, fish populations decimated by pollution and algae blooms are more examples. People pretend to be concerned about windmills killing birds, when the biggest killers are tall buildings and the destruction of their environment.
It’s really depressing that people that can still ignore the increases in extreme weather patterns, including snow and cold along with heat and drought. It is infuriating that there are those that DO know about the connection, but care more about money and power so they promote lies.
Archeologist have found the remains of many civilizations displaced by drought. Why would be assume that no longer happens, the only thing that has kept “California” (and many other places) green is technology. And, it appears we are reaching the limit of that.
What caused droughts before humans? Humans have only been around for, at most, 300,000 years. The earth is approximately 4.8 billion years old. The oceans cover 70% of the earth. Of the remaining 30%, less than 3% is urban. The climate change religion is not dealing with facts. Just because they want something to be true, it doesn`t make it true.
When you put thirteen million people in an area and “it never rains in Southern California”, it seems to me that someone would have figured there was going to be a problem.
Actually, Mr. Breen, here in Santa Rosa California the wild flowers are in bloom. I just have to look out my window or look at the empty Claritin bottle in my medicine cabinet. If you want to see the drought you have to drive up to the reservoirs to see that they are (at best) 2/3’s full.
OK… I know there’s too much science in both of these for the fools but maybe the pretty pictures will get thru… or maybe not, but it’s worth it to the try I suppose. 8^/
And the problem is much more wide spread than just California. We’re certainly seeing the problem in Colorado too (and all thru the south west). It’s painfully obvious for anyone to see.
If you have never studied or tried dry farming, check it out. It will become one of the most important agricultural solutions as the earth continues to heat up.
