Learning by experience is more lasting, and along the way you learn what not to do.
My version, one of my mottos is this: “Wisdom comes from experience. Experience comes from making mistakes. Some of us learn from other other people’s mistakes. Most of us are the other people.”
And, “Experience is the best teacher” or so my mother often said. Whether that leads to wisdom remains to be seen.
Au contraire! Experience can put you in the running for a Darwin Award.
