One of my uncles was like that – the doc told him “one drink a day” so he filled up an 8 oz water glass with scotch each day and called it his “one drink a day”. He thought he was “fooling the doctor”. Since he was a very heavy smoker (even on oxygen), I’m not sure if his liver gave out before his lungs did or the other way around. You probably know someone like this . . .
