I’m enjoying the RW trying to attack Disney. While Disney has multiple properties I like watching they have terrible dragon-hoarding-the treasure practices and watching someone like Mike who WORSHIPS hoarding treasure attack them is just so much fun.
Lyin’, Misquotin’ Mike Lester. Disney did not say that 50% of its characters would be “minority.” It said that 50% of its characters would come from “underrepresented groups.” Lyin’ Mike faked the quote so he could attack Disney. Working- and middle-class Americans are underrepresented in the US Senate. A 50% share would still be underrepresentation. But by Lesterlogic, at least half should be multimillionaires.
I was at Disney only once over 30 years ago and as I remember it many characters were in costume, so if the sight of a minority bothers Lester he shouldn’t worry unless of course he sees them out of costume. If that’s the case then he has a major problem and I would suggest counseling and if that doesn’t work suicide is a viable option to relieve his pain. Never went back there because I felt it was a giant rip off and I could go to Great Adventure theme parks which were closer to me if I wanted to be taken for a ride.
And why not?! Don’t you think it is getting really old that the pretty princess must be blonde and most of the villains have dark hair and a beautiful Mediterranean skin tone by default, etc, etc…?!
Most poorly educated white people have always feared the day when the rest of us had more money to spend than them.
As a nation, we have always valued profits more than human life and life in general. Being ignorant and racist is not so profitable in the 21st century, as it used to be.

They have been around for a long time and they will be around for a while longer.

It’s just Mr. Lester being spiteful.

Minority = " the smaller in number of two groups constituting a whole" https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/minority
In other words, less than fifty percent.

this from a bigoted white man.

Don’t feed the troll.
Instead, either grab a flyswatter, a can of bug spray, or just flag the pestilent insect.

Would a talking rat be considered a minority character?
