Throw in the (questionable) rationalizations of warm-because-Wool and cheap-because-On-Sale and we see five big pluses blinding her to that one huge all-important minus of “but it’ll be insufferably scratchy.”
Geez, now he’s got his little arms wrapped around his head. Maybe if he squeezes his brains hard enough he’ll learn how much the sweater originally cost. I mean, I doubt he has to buy clothes himself so he wouldn’t know.
@CAR2, and @ CONCRET, Funny thing about both of your analyses, it hit close to a situation a faced about two years ago.And it goes like this, I sold a property we (I ) owned in another country that was originally a planned retirement home for both the wife and I, (I know, I know ! never make plans that are difficult to bring to fruition) so I finally sold said property and when I got the cash my first thought was “here’s the cash for my new truck!” Which I honestly had in mind to buy since I have never before bought me a new truck just for me, I currently drive a 2005 Ford Ranger that I bought used in better condition that many others and that so far has not failed me but once and that was the need for a battery replacement nowadays I’m doing exactly what one of you described to detail (columns and such) and made me think, what if I paint the Ranger ? Have the engine/ transmission rebuilt and just be happy about that? So there you have Now please let me have some “Peer review” and make it good! TIA (I will check later to see if I got any news)
