PS: Oh, ya shoulda watched the excellent expose’ of “The Wrecking Crew” on Moyers’ Journal last Friday - I just couldn’t help but think about ya, Spewart; these are the snow-white pure and blameless sentinels that you go to the ends of the earth to defend. Pathetic dullard.

I don’t need an economist to explain the technical definition of recession to me. When I see businesses closing every day, banks failing, more and more Americans being laid off, and even McDonalds (!) complaining that their business is down, then I KNOW we are in tough economic times. Heck, if you can’t afford McDonalds then you are up the economic creek without a paddle!

Hey StewpidZ got a new avatar! Just not the one I expected. I was SO looking forward to seeing McCain with Reagan’s pompadour and Bush’s smirk. As for the weed reference, the only one we can associate with it is StewpidZ: dill weed.

Here’s what’s so entertaining about this whole conversation: StewpidZ is just unsophisticated enough to conflate Rall with sites like Dailykos and Democratic Underground. Those are Democratic Party activist sites. Rall’s contempt for both McCain AND Obama, and the two party system as a whole, should be fairly obvious from his recent strips, especially the panel where he exclaims AS IF! after Obama’s ironic fantasy of seeing Bush waterboarded, which went right over S’s head. But when your schtick consists entirely of name calling and changing the subject, I guess that is to be expected. As for Imus, he HAS said those things, and still has a pulse at last count, so your indignation is passé, to say the least.

And that’s our Spewbie - always late to the party, with party hat on head!

I’ve got to check more of ted Rall’s collection, just found one I had in my HD about the US taking over Cuba and turning it into a giant Gitmo…

Don’t know about his style either, to busy for me….. by the way, keeping up with comments is a PITA in this place, unless I’m missing something….

My friend, one can’t defend an impossible premise, i.e. Obama is a Marxist. That would certainly be news to some of his contributors who hang out on Wall Street. One can hardly go around accusing others of unrealistic fantasies and then pull that one out of your hat. Now you’re just projecting. Since you won’t go out on a limb and defend any one facet of the Cheney administration, yet insist WE who drop in here defend Rall to the hilt, I can only point out a consistent trait I stumble across frequently amid right-wing rants, namely that to acknowledge something’s existence is tantamount to approbation. If I read Das Kapital, am I now a Marxist? If I read the Quran, am I now a terrorist, or even a Muslim at all? Poor boy, learn the meaning of detachment, and try it out sometime.

It must just KILL the right wingnuts that they are now officially the minority in the USA. Bush’s popularity ratings are lower than Nixon’s!
