    Good Saturday morning Vagabonds

The channel 3 weather web page says cloudy, tain’t that cloudy, fact is, it’s not that cloudy the sun be shining. Any who, 36 degrees this morning predicted high of 53 and generally cloudy. The extended forecast has a lot of 60+ temps showing. (^.^)

Saw our Pileated Woodpecker this morning, he’s been knocking holes in an old dead tree on the corner of our property for years.

Of other wood knockers we have here the most common are the Hairy Woodpecker and the Downy Woodpecker, nearly identical except Hairy is nearly twice the size of Downy. These two woodpeckers, the males have a red patch on the back of the head, oh, btw, the two woodpeckers are black and white. Another wood beater we have is a Sapsucker, like Hairy and Downy he is black and white but, his red patch is on his forehead, and man he dose knock on wood, steel roof, license plates nailed on to a building, he wants the ladies to know where he is. (^.^)

Slow day just trash, recycle and the normal.

All y’all have a wonerful day and God be by your side.

    Good morning Vagabonds.

Happy Saturday! Not that it’s all that different from the rest of the week.

We don’t have woodpeckers around here, but we do have those big old Mocking Birds. Large grey and white and when they fly, the white becomes a stripe from wing tip to wing tip. They are noisy, too. As the name implies, they imitate other bird calls and sometimes other sounds. They are very aggressive and dive-bomb small animals (and sometimes people) that get too near their nests (read within 100 yards). They keep Smokey & Sting on their toes for sure.

Nothing planned for today so far. I took care of all the “business” yesterday. As much as I like doing “numbers” stuff, there’s only just so much. I think I will try to find a movie for us to watch. Between 800 or so movies on DVD and the streaming services, we should be able to find something.

I looked up what “national day” it is today. There are 15 of them! Among others, Hairstylist Appreciation Day, First Ladies Day, Pool Opening Day and (my favorite) Bugs Bunny Day.

Our forecast has gone back up to 89 for today. It’s 78 at the moment (almost 11 AM) but I have no doubt it will hit probably 92 on the patio this afternoon. We don’t hit peak temps until around 4 to 5 PM.

Everyone have a safe and blessed day.

    Good evening, Vagabonds.

It has been a pretty quiet day here. It rained overnight and didn’t stop until around 11 a.m. At least it was a pleasantly warm day with a start of 57 and a high of 77. I just wish it would dry up enough for some yard work and flower planting. Soon.

    Everyone have a peaceful evening.

    Hi all y’all Vagabonds

Hum, there dosen’t seem to be a Sunday B&E today, so I’m going tac this on the end of Saturday’s comments.

Blue skies and sunlight, temp 32 (burr). Plenty sunshine, 63 predicted high. (^.^)

My normal Sunday with our sky pilot Nate giving us an inspirational message for the week, Our nephew/cook is making a Shepherds Pie with ground Venison, should be interesting. Then maybe zzzz.

Have a wonerful day and may God bless.

    you’re right, Mark, no Sunday.
