Red: The weatherman says it's going to be a scorcher today. Rover: Bring it on, baby! I'm part mojave desert dog, y'know! Rover: Not surprising. They couldn't take the heat so they migrated north to alaska and became malamutes.

Very funny!
I used to have a Malamute-mix mutt, and she would shed so much during the summer - in Florida - that it seemed like “Elke” was TRYING to become a desert dog! No luck, of course, since she had a very thick undercoat.
