Not to mention a massive appetite…..
Here in northern Maine, the DOT has portable road signs on I-95 warning travelers to watch out for Eagles on the road. I suspect the eagles are scavenging road kill, or bringing their kill to a clear area for consumption.
This is one of the reasons why Ben Franklin had argued for other birds as the national bird instead of the bald eagle. ;)
If you ever see a bald eagle in the wild they are a Grand thing to see. Not so much turkeys, and yes I have seen both in the wild.
