I still have my CD jacket patches from my early volunteer days. I have had to explain CD on more than one occasion. Oh, and Conelrad. Fewer and fewer of us remember that.

Far more than the Republicans would/will do. Heck, Republicans aren’t against mandates, they are only against mandates that protects the public health. They love their antimask mandates, especially in public schools, while their kids go to private schools that require masks and vaccinations and have been teaching remotely during the Omicron surge.

Vote Democratic, they will help you live.

Vote Republicon, they will help you die.

This wouldn’t be necessary if the president in office at the time the pandemic broke had actually managed the situation. Instead, he and his party decided to use it instead to stoke resentment and fear. Because that’s what Republican voters feed off of anymore.

I love those “duck and cover” movies they used to show kids. Such classic mid 20th century American disingenuous behavior. I wonder how many people actually believed it would make a difference if a nuke went off nearby.

    “We WANT them infected!”

We should go back a couple years for a truly effective policy, right Ted?

“It’s the thought that counts.!” They were thoughtful about the guard-dog-in-a-box. It came in it’s own coffin box, how thoughtful!

I agree that the government could have been quicker with sending Covid tests to people, but we can also pick up home Covid tests at local libraries. Three weeks ago, I did my first home Covid test that I picked up at the MLK Library. I registered the test online, did the swab as directed, dropped it off at my local library and three days later found the test was negative. I am not planning to test myself every week, but if I am going to a family event or going on a trip I will definitely test myself to ensure I don’t have Covid.
