Someone needs to point out to McConnell it has been him that got rid of the filibuster repeatedly to get what he wanted, especially when it came to partisan hack judges. He should have known that if he did that, the Democrats might just decide to do the same thing. Mitch’s silly threat that if the Democrats get rid of the filibuster, we’ll do the same thing, is backwards, as he’s already done that in the past. Thanks McConnell for opening the door to get rid of the filibuster in order to save Democracy with the Voting Rights act that will allow every American citizen the right to vote and the ability to vote easily and undeterred.

One thing that is for sure, the Voting Rights Act needs to be made law and soon. That is, if we want to hold onto Democracy and not see Trump put into office one way or another, with it being handed down to his children, just like any other fascist dictatorship.

I like him. He understands that power is more important than principle.

The Alt-Right whining over the Feds potentially passing a new Voting Rights Law and monitoring the practices of states is building. If it takes killing the filibuster, just for this measure or permanently, let it be done. The filibuster is not in the Constitution. There are other parliamentary measures which a party not in the majority in Congress can use to fight proposed legislation.

Hard to believe that all 50 odd republican senators are so obviously against reforming the voting act in spite of its very apparent problems.
